11 Completing the Mid-Placement Review
The mid-placement review is a compulsory element in placement. It involves you and your supervisor meeting to review how things are going and to focus on what is going well, in addition to what you might wish to consider for the second half of the placement.
The agenda for the mid-placement review forms the basis for the short report that you should upload using the myplace link. Specifically, you should cover:
What aspects of your performance were identified as being strengths?
How will you use the second half of placement to consolidate and build on these strengths?
What areas or skills were identified as needing further development?
How will these be addressed during the second half of placement?
Were any other comments or observations made that you wish to include in your report?
How do you feel placement is going so far?
You should prepare your responses to these questions before completing the form, as it does not allow partially-completed responses to be saved.
